The series 30R\'s extremely narrow, visible, red laser truly sets it apart. With its small diameter, the laser pinpoints and accurately measures difficult positions such as small objects, edges of walls, or targets located at a steep angle.

The series 30R utilizes a visible red laser to facilitate quick and easy sighting. The beam is extremely narrow and can exactly pinpoint the measuring position. The Series 30R accurately measures to narrow objects, edges of walls or targets located at a steep angle, and even measures through fences or trees, enabling measurements that total stations with broader laser beams cannot perform.
Unaided by a reflector the Series 30R measures over 100m every 1.3 seconds with 3mm + 2ppm accuracy. If a glass prism is used, the range increases to 5,000m with 2mm _2ppm accuracy. All this performance is made possible with a safe easy-to-handle Class 2 Laser Beam.
The Series 30R has a range of new devices that make the instrument very user-friendly. By continuously pressing the illumination key, the Series 30R omits a visible laser beam for sighting the target without measuring the distance. This allows an operator to confirm the measuring point without looking into the telescope. Icons on the display screen indicate the type of target used for measurement: glass prism, reflective sheet or reflectorless and small lithium ion batteries facilitate up to 10 hours of measurement.
